Note To Self: “Just F***ing Do It.”
An aggressive inner dialogue that’s surprisingly motivational.
A few years back, I made a motivational playlist on YouTube and called it ‘YouTube Just Fucking Do It.’ Aggressive, I know, but it reflects my inner dialogue — and honestly, it’s the only way to get rid of that procrastination monkey (a reference to an old Medium article).
Anywho, this playlist is a series of videos from a creator who has inspired me for years, Peter McKinnon. He realized corporate life wasn’t for him and pursued his passions, becoming one of the most successful content creators in the photography and filmmaking side of YouTube. His videos are inspiring, fun to watch, educational, engaging and so well-made they feel like high-budget movies.
Needless to say, his channel is great.
Back to the point: I made this playlist for myself, and now I’m sharing it with you. If you’re looking for inspiration, trying to start a creative career, or just considering a career change, it might help.
At the very least, you might just enjoy his videos.
I’ll stop here because I’m rambling, and I need to get back to editing videos, applying for jobs, and working toward my passions. This may not be the best or most well-written Medium post, but I’m taking my advice by putting myself out there and just fucking doing it.
