Do you ever feel like, ‘What’s the point?’

My own inner dialogue.

I know it’s a thought, but it’s a thought so strong that it’s a feeling. A feeling that swells throughout your body and causes you pain, fear, sadness, and self-loathing. It sets you in a state where you feel an inability to do anything.

So, I ask you: do you ever get this feeling of what’s the point?

To me, I say yes.

What do you do about it?

I push through it. It may hurt. It may push you to the point of crying, and all along the way, that thought is not going to go away. If anything, it will grow. But when you accomplish whatever you set out to do, you’ll look back and say, ‘Look what I did. I completed my task, and worked towards my goal.’ And then it may fail. That thought may have been right from its intention — it was a fear of failure.

But! At least you still did it. Now you learn, you grow, you build, and you do it again and again and again. And you fail up.

Stopping before you start because of fear of failure is failing in and of itself. Failing, failing hard, and persevering through it is where success can be found.

Just a rant from my noisy mind.

It’s truly an inner dialogue I’m having in my own mind as I work through this present state of anxiety, depression, the feeling and thought that I’m a failure — just everything telling me to stop trying. I’m rambling now. Writing this helped. Maybe I just needed to get it out somehow.

Sorry.
